About Tech Savvy Teens
Tech Savvy Teens is a program initiated by Acton Digital Academy, a 501c3 non-profit learner-driven school, aimed at bridging the technology gap between generations on Oahu. Our mission is to equip teenagers with essential digital skills, prepare them for job opportunities, and enhance the well-being of both youth and seniors in Hawaii.
Through comprehensive training, teenagers learn digital proficiency, job readiness, and technology use, while also serving as mentors to seniors, providing personalized assistance to enhance their digital skills. Open to all teens interested in pursuing technology certification and careers, the program fosters meaningful connections and empathy across generations.
Specifically targeting low-income Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NHPI) youth aged 13-19, but welcoming all Oahu teens interested in technology, the Tech Savvy Teens program empowers participants with basic technology skills and enhances digital proficiency for seniors, creating lasting intergenerational bonds. Join us in shaping a brighter future through technology empowerment and connection.
